Theme: Marvelous Me - Exploring and Celebrating Our Unique Qualities
Objective: To help children develop a positive self-image and celebrate their unique qualities through hands-on activities.
Grouping: Three groups (Group A, Group B, Group C) based on the children's abilities and needs.
Materials Needed:
- Chart paper and markers
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue sticks
- Magazines or printed pictures
- Mirrors
- Playdough
- Various art supplies (crayons, markers, colored pencils)
- Picture books about diversity and self-acceptance
Monday: All About Me Collage
Group A:
- Introduce the theme "Marvelous Me" and explain that everyone is unique and special.
- Provide each child with a piece of construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, and magazines or printed pictures.
- Instruct them to cut out pictures or words that represent things they like or things that make them special.
- Help them glue the pictures onto their construction paper to create an "All About Me" collage.
Group B:
- Provide pre-cut pictures or words that represent different interests or qualities.
- Assist the children in gluing the pictures onto their construction paper to create their "All About Me" collage.
Group C:
- Provide pre-made collages with spaces for the children to add their own pictures or words.
- Assist the children in adding their personal touches to the collages.
Tuesday: Mirror Self-Portraits
Group A:
- Give each child a mirror and encourage them to observe their facial features.
- Provide them with art supplies and guide them in drawing a self-portrait using the mirror as a reference.
Group B:
- Provide pre-drawn face outlines for the children to color and decorate.
- Encourage them to add details that resemble their own facial features.
Group C:
- Provide pre-drawn face outlines for the children to color and decorate.

Wednesday: Playdough Creations
Group A:

- Provide coloring sheets featuring diverse characters and encourage the children to color them.
Group C:

Friday: Sharing Our Marvelous Qualities
Group A, B, and C:
- Gather the children in a circle and provide each child with a piece of chart paper and markers.
- Ask them to draw or write one thing they like about themselves or one special quality they possess.
- Encourage them to share their drawings or writings with the group, explaining why they chose that quality.
